I’ve really enjoyed getting my (photography) work out there a bit more, as terrifying as that is. I realise I haven’t really blogged much about these things, but there are a few places you can find me currently…
‘Where Your Heart Is‘ specialises in wedding favours, and a few months back I did the photography for the site. You can also find me under their ‘featured artist‘ section at the minute.
Big Mouth Coffee is, of course, my local coffeehouse… and a few of my photographs are adorning it’s walls currently. I’m also featured on their brand new website here.
I’ve also just booked my first wedding photography gig… really excited about pushing myself creatively and can’t wait to get stuck into it! I’m also utterly terrified, but I think that’s a normal part of the process!
[Beware: shameless plug coming up]
You can check out more of my work on my website, www.emmaboyd.co.uk, and hire me by dropping me an email.

I’ve put a few new things up on the Poverty Monologues blog, including a link to a great article by DFID on it, and a few photographs I snapped on Wednesday night when I saw the show.
Normal service will resume here in a while…. you know, that nice, undefined period of time.

I got my first roll of B&W 120 film back from the printers today… learning that I need to use a much longer shutter time for them! I love this shot of my flatmates & I, and a few of the others kinda came out as ‘cool abstract stuff’.

A few weeks ago I went to see my friends, the Potential Strangers, play at Brel. We had a lovely little night enjoying some good music and beer or two. Check out their music on Myspace.
There’s a few more photographs in this flickr set.

I spent the weekend hanging out with my friend Caroline in Oxford. We’re so different, and yet get on well. Another reminder of how diverse the world is and yet how beautiful it is. Caroline had this whole little list of stuff she thought I’d love… genuinely one of the sweetest, most thoughtful people I’ve meet in a long time. I fear she may be a little disappointed when she visits Glasgow next month – I’m not as good with planning things in advance! But hey, she likes me for me – even when it is last minute, blow-with-the-wind me! We saw a couple of great exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, including Mapplethorpe’s Polaroid exhibit, and ate a lot of great food. Our mutual friend Cat also popped over and joined us on Sunday… love celebrating friendships over food!
A few snapshots of a lovely little break…
