Last week I saw a few films, one of which was Glorious 39. This is easily one of the best films I’ve seen lately! The film itself was beautifully shot, and the soundtrack is excellent. The storyline was what had me most intrigued though – stuff like this always makes me wonder if any of it is based on reality? It doesn’t appear to be from what I can find out, but it’s certainly a storyline you could imagine having its seeds in truth.
Ben just posted the video below which was used at Story last week – beautiful song and beautiful video. The click track was made by TK McKamy, if you interested.
Saw 500 Days of Summer on Friday night, and I have to say, I’m pretty sure it’s my favourite film all summer! Loved it.
Also, I caved and signed up for an unlimited cinema pass. I’m so on this thing now – too many films I want to see to pay real adult prices all the time for them!
Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite stars as a man living alone in the devastated world of 2055, looking at old footage from 2008 and asking: why didn’t we stop climate change when we had the chance?
It made for sobering viewing… a vision of a world where we wipe ourselves out. Yet it closes with hope, that this is simply what could happen, but it doesn’t have to be that way. I think it was all the more powerful because much of the footage was real. I recommend you check it out if you get a chance, great movie.
