I’ve had this book sitting on my shelf for about five years, waiting for me to get started… I finally finished it this evening. It is an utterly compelling story, but my goodness, it feels like the longest book I’ve ever read!
I plan to see it at the cinema this weekend, but I’m glad I’ve read it first.
i thought it looked a little thin.. and then i saw ‘volume two’. enjoy it?! i just finished reading it. it was pretty great, though tough at some points. yep. see the movie, it’s good. 🙂
I loved it Suz, utterly compelling once you get into it. I found it tough to get through the chapters on Waterloo, but otherwise fantastic. Headed to see it at the cinema tonight.
